A 66-year-old man has been arrested in Donegal in connection with the murder of two Ulster Defence Regiment soldiers in 1972.

The man is also being held on suspicion of aiding and abetting an explosion.
The man was arrested by gardaí under a European Arrest Warrant as part of a joint operation with the PSNI.
He is expected to appear at the High Court in Dublin tomorrow afternoon.
Lance Corporal Alfred Johnston and Private James Eames died when a device exploded in a car they were checking on the Irvinestown Road, Cherrymount, Enniskillen in Co Fermanagh in 1972.
