And in the days after the opening the donut superstore had to end its 24/7 drive-thru due to the amount of noise being created.
However, the grand opening in Coventry was not quite the same as what we witnessed in the capital.
While people did still queue up for the opening, there was 50 people max with nowhere near as much of an obsession as the Irish store.
Jack Hornbury, 17, was first in the queue and won £150 in Krispy Kreme vouchers , our friends in Coventry Live report.
He waited outside the shopping centre from 7.30am and as soon as doors opened at 8am, he was in position at the head of the line.
He said: "I saw it advertised a couple of days ago and we always get them at home so mum said give it a go.
"I'm hoping there will be some prizes."
Coventry University student Timitayo Ajetunmobi, 18, was second and said she was on donut duty for her friends.
She told Coventry Live: "I'm originally from Nottingham and I went to their store opening too. "I just love them, they taste amazing.
"I got here just before 8am outside and then ran up the escalators. "I think the store will add more to Coventry as the one at home is always busy.
"There will also be more job opportunities."
