Be My Baby/ The Phil Spector story

First Half:

In various settings, cutting between the recording studio and live performance we see Phil Spector at his finest, yet most extreme.

His undisputed creative talent is showcased, as timeless hits such as Be My Baby (The Ronettes) and River Deep Mountain High (Tina Turner) come to life in the recording process. Yet his darker side begins to dominate as Spector threatens John Lennon at gunpoint and holds The Ramones hostage “until they nailed it”.

True genius can transcend our understanding and societal limits, and nowhere is this seen more than in the rise and fall of Phil Spector.

Second Half:

The Spectres, a 10-piece live band features three female vocalists, five male vocalists, acoustic and electric guitars, brass, strings, piano, Hammond organ, keyboards, double bass, drums and percussion.

The band performs all of the best known hits which Spector produced using the Wall of Sound Technique. This revolutionary process changed the course of music forever. These artists include

Ronettes
Crystals
John Lennon
Leonard Cohen
Righteous Brothers
Ben E King
George Harrison

and many more.

Be My Baby / The Phil Spector Show will grip you from the start, then take you to the edge of your seat and finally to the dance floor!!!
