Sorcha Richardson is a singer/songwriter from Dublin currently based in Brooklyn, New York. Since releasing an EP of bedroom-made demos in 2012, she has been honing her style of alternative-pop music on singles Petrol Station, Lost, Ruin Your Night and 4AM, receiving airplay from BBC Radio 1 and praise from Zane Lowe. She has performed at CMJ and Northside Festival in New York and played to sold-out crowds at Brooklyn’s Rough Trade, opening for Jens Leckman. She is set to release new music in Autumn of 2017, which she recorded in a friend’s back-garden studio in Los Angeles at the end of 2016 and will play some shows in Ireland and the US following later in the year. This show celebrates the first single of the collection, entitled Waking Life, and will be Sorcha’s only full band headline show in Dublin in 2017.
