Irish Foreign Minister Charlie Flanagan has introduced a new service for replacing of Irish passports with an online portal and applications for mobile devices and smartphones.
As the minister informed "Now the passport replacement service is available for citizens of Ireland who have reached the age of 18". Using online service, you can update the resulting document. The cost of a standard passport is € 80, of the extended one - € 100, the service allows you to update a passport card for travel within the European Union.
At the presentation of the service on March 30 Minister Flanagan said: " For the moment the service will be unavailable for children, those who receive a passport for the first time and in case the document was lost or stolen"
To upload your passport photo it is possible using a digital photo or service.
