The number of passengers in the port of Dublin descended to almost 10% in the first quarter of 2017, thus increasing fears about a reduction in the number of tourists from the UK. Speaking about specific figures, the passenger traffic in the port of Dublin descended by 9.3% - in the first three months of the year 270 thousand people used it. And vehicles became less by 5%.
There are also positive indicators: the volume of freight traffic (import and export) increased by 4.2%. The Dublin Port Authority also announced that it will pay dividends to the state in the amount of 11.7 million euros in 2017, bringing the total dividend amount from 2007 to 101.2 million euros.
