The Irish government gives consideration to tax breaks for small and medium-sized businesses

Department of Labor and Employment of Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Ireland should assess the tax system in order to increase the competitiveness of SMEs.

The department wants to develop a medium-term tax policy plan to increase small and medium-sized businesses.

The departmental tender document states: "As part of the project effective recommendations for discussing tax policy issues with regard to the tax environment and the management system of Ireland will be developped  in support of the increase in SMEs and new business enterprises."

The Department is looking for experts in research and taxation to participate in the project. It is reported that the analysis will focus on the impact of the changing international tax situation and the project on minimizing taxation and deducing profits, Brexit and possible tax reform in the USA. The impact of the differences between the Irish and British tax proposals will also be analyzed.
