Dublin-bound train delayed after passenger suffers seizure

Delays are expected on Irish Rail services this morning after a passenger suffered a "medical emergency on a Dublin-bound

Knock on delays have been reported for commuters after a Galway to Heuston Station train was temporarily brought to a standstill.

A passenger on board the 5.30am Galway to Heuston Station train is believed to have suffered a seizure on board.

Irish Rail posted on Twitter: "05:30 Galway Heuston has departed Portarlington 35mins late due to a medical emergency."

The service was delayed at Portarlington for just over half an hour as an ambulance was called to the incident.

The service is now back up and running but delays remain.
