Dublin Airport evacuated after fire

Yesterday, the 6th of June, Irish holidaymakers were evacuated from Pier 3 in Dublin Airport Terminal 1 this morning after a fire broke out.

The blaze started in one of the airport's offices around 9.30am and caused plenty of disruption with some passengers removed from their gates.

Dublin Airport tweeted the news with security screening also temporarily suspended.

Members of Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene and the blaze was extinguished quickly.

Terminal 1 is now back operating as normal.
