Man dies after being found seriously injured in underground car park

A man who was found seriously injured in an underground car park yesterday has died from his injuries.


He was found at approximately 5.50am on Tuesday at Carnegie Court Apartments in Swords.

A renewed appeal has been issued by gardai for anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward.

The white male, believed to be in his late 30s/early 40s, was rushed to Beaumont Hospital after he was found.

He had brown hair and was of medium build and was wearing a white slazenger t-shirt, navy track suit bottoms and black sketcher runners - size 8.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardai in Swords can confirm that the injured man found in an underground car park at Carnegie Court Apartments was pronounced dead at Beaumont Hospital last night.

"Investigating Gardaí are renewing their appeal to any persons who were in the area of Carnegie Court Apartments on North Street, Swords between the hours of 10pm on Monday night and 6 am Tuesday morning Tuesday to contact them at Swords Garda Station 6664700 the Garda Confidential Line 1 800 666 111 or any Garda Station."
