A pedestrian on the M50 has caused chaos for commuters this Friday rush hour in Dublin.

The pedestrian, believed to be a cyclist, was spotted northbound at J6 Blanchardstown - writes dublinlive.ie.

AA Roadwatch has advised motorists to take particular care in the area while the pedestrian is removed from the motorway.

The Northbound traffic is busy from J7 Lucan to J6 Blanchardstown as a result, but southbound traffic is moving well.

AA Roadwatch posted online: "Pedestrian/ cyclist northbound on M50 at J6 Blanchardtown.

"Care advised along this stretch."

Elsewhere, a breakdown that was blocking the left lane of the Port Tunnel northbound has been moved and the tunnel has completely reopened - though delays are expected.
