Dublin Fire Brigade attend blaze at Shamrock Rovers merchandise shop in Tallaght

The cause of the fire is still unknown

Members of Dublin Fire Brigade have attended the scene of a small fire at Tallaght Stadium, home to League of Ireland club Shamrock Rovers.

This incident happened earlier this afternoon, when the club's merchandising shop at the stadium next to Sean Walsh Memorial Park caught fire.

Pumps from the service's D watch were called to the scene of the blaze at around 3.45pm, and firefighters quickly extinguished the flames while using breathing apparatus.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire, although it is not yet known the cost of the damage that was caused to the merchandising unit.

A spokeswoman for Dublin Fire Brigade confirmed that two pumps attended the scene, but that it is not yet known what started the blaze.
