Calls have been made to the Justice Minister to tackle anti-social behaviour at the Forty Foot at Sandycove Beach, after a young couple was spotted allegedly having sex on top of a shed.
And a local councillor has called for more garda resources to police the area, saying anti-social problems are a "seasonal issue".
Dun Laoghaire TD Richard Boyd Barrett has called on Charlie Flanagan to make a plan to tackle anti-social behaviour in the area.
He accused a small minority of ruining the experience for everyone who flocks to the hugely popular public sun spot when there is good weather.
Reports of binge drinking have also led to "unpleasant" experiences for families, claims local councillor Cormac Devlin.
Speaking to Dublin Live, Councillor Devlin said: "It's a seasonal issue, around the summer time. It's all about the weather.
"It's a public amenity, and it doesn't take much to ruin it. The drinking is all ages, but there's a bye-law about drinking in public.
