Two Dublin punters split €25,000 on the same Lotto numbers

Two lucky Dublin-based punters split a huge sum of money last night when both of their Lotto numbers came up trumps in the Irish Lotto draw.

The first customer turned a €4 stake into a staggering €15,200 after betting on numbers 2, 7, 29 and 40 to come out of the drum in the main Lotto draw.

And amazingly, the second punter scooped a further €9,502.50 from a €2.50 stake on the exact same numbers.

The lucky pair scooped a total of €24,702.50 between them, for what was a combined stake of just €6.50.

The four numbers would have only returned €28 if the two had played the Lotto in their local newsagents instead.

Speaking about the win, BoyleSports spokeswoman Yasmin Leonard said: "It’s amazing to see customers get such massive returns off their small stakes, especially when this is compared with the €28 that would have returned if they had done their numbers with their local newsagents.

"The appealing odds and potential large returns continue to draw customers to numbers betting."
