Homeless man in his 50s found dead near Grafton Street this morning

A rough sleeper was discovered dead in the early hours of this morning near Dublin's Grafton Street.

The man in his 50s was found in a sleeping bag outside the Superdry Store on Suffolk Street at around 4 am.

The man was pronouced dead on the scene and his body was taken to St James' Hospital where a post-mortem is due to be carried out.

Independent.ie report that the death is not being treated as suspicious.

Gardaí have currently sectioned off the scene in order to carry out an investigation.
