Families with children affected by scoliosis and people with other spine problems are being invited to a major free conference next Tuesday with experts from around Europe.
A public information day of the Eurospine conference takes place from 2-6pm on Tuesday 10 October at the Convention Centre in Dublin - writes rte.ie.
The public session is free and no registration is needed.
Frank Dowling, consultant orthopaedic surgeon Blackrock Clinic, said the public session is a unique event which he hopes will be well attended by Irish people.
Ireland has been affected by long waiting lists for scoliosis surgery , particularly for children.
Dr Dowling and other colleagues will be speaking at the public session.
He previously worked at Our Lady’s Children's Hospital in Crumlin doing scoliosis surgery until retiring from the hospitalten years ago.
Eurospine is the annual general meeting of spine experts in Europe.
