SIN Nightclub closes its doors after 14 years

Popular Dublin nightspot SIN Nightclub has closed its doors for the final time.

Despite promoting events this weekend, news broke yesterday that the Temple Bar club closed its doors for the final time on Wednesday after almost a decade and a half in business.

The club, which was occasionally frequented by Conor McGregor, has reportedly been forced to close after its lease was sold back to the owner of the building - writes dublinlive.ie.

The news follows recent announcements that a number of other clubs in the capital face the threat of closing, including Hangar on St Andrew's Lane and District 8 at the Tivoli Theatre, where developments are already being planned.

Posting on Facebook , SIN Nightclub staff thanked their regulars for all their support over the years.

In a heartfelt post, they wrote: "WOW what an amazing 14 years. You guys have rocked all over my dance floor, sucked the face off each other in dark corners, been entertained by some of the world's best DJ's, been served by 224 different staff members, and generally were the sole [sic] of my existence.

"Last night I closed my eyes for the final time. Its has been fun. THANK YOU THE MEMORIES WILL LIVE FOREVER".
