The British Council made a bit of a silly error last Friday when they accidentally mixed up the Irish flag with that of the Ivory Coast.
The British Council got the Irish flag so wrong at a mock EU event
The incident happened at a mock meeting of the Council of the European Union in Stormont on Friday - writes buzz.ie.
Twenty nine schools took place in the mock meeting to discuss the future of the EU-UK relationship.
When it came time for the Irish delegate to weigh in, he noticed that his place card had the flag for the Ivory Coast printed on it instead of Ireland's.
A video uploaded to BBC shows a student in the meeting who was representing Ireland say:
"Happy to see this morning that the Ivory Coast's application to the EU was accepted" while he shows the council the incorrect flag.
"I wish them all the best of luck" he added while thee other students can be heard laughing.
The flag was provided to the students by the British Council, who organised the event.
Now, we know the two flags have the same three colours but it is a pretty basic thing to get the flag of any country right.
We're mildly insulted, but still laughing at the brilliant response by the Irish delegate.
What a little legend.
