Gardai posted a picture of a lorry illegally parked on St Stephen's Green on Wednesday which sparked a big reaction - writes dublinlive.ie.

The lorry was parked blocking two disabled spaces as the driver appeared to be dropping something off.

The Gardai tweeted: "‘The Double Duke of Hazzard !!’ Lorry driver with his hazard warning light on blocking two disabled spaces on St.Stephens Green, D2 today. FCPN issued."

The picture garnered a lot of attention on social media with many people commenting on the incident.

Some people were aggrieved about people feeling entitled to park where they want just because they have hazard lights on.

One commenter said: "What!! Do the hazard lights not entitle you to park where you want."

Gardai have been clamping down on drivers without disabled permits parking in disabled spaces over the past few months.

The Garda Traffic account regularly posts pictures of drivers caught using the spaces with either no permit or a permit not belonging to them.
