Cyclist dies in Co Waterford collision

A cyclist has died following a collision involving a car in Co Waterford.

The incident happened at around 7am in the Kilcop area on the Waterford to Dunmore East road.- writes rte.ie.

The cyclist, who was in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene and hisbody was removed to University Hospital Waterford.

The road has been closed and diversions are in place.

An appeal for witnesses has been issued and anyone with information is asked to contact Waterford Garda Station on 051-305300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
