Five units of Dublin Fire Brigade battle city centre blaze

Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus have fought a blaze at a building on Dublin's Gardiner Street this morning.

The alarm was raised just before 7am when the fire was detected.

Five units of Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene backed up by a District Officer and Advanced Paramedics - writes independent.ie.

Smoke could be seen pouring from the front door of the Georgian building, which is used as offices, on the corner of Gardiner Street Lower and Deverell Place as the fire crews tackled the fire.
