Dublin weather forecast status yellow warning remains in place as more rain, wind and sleet expected
A status yellow weather warning for hail, sleet and snow during heavy and thundery showers remains in place for Dublin and the rest of the country until 8pm today.
Temperatures will hit a high of about 7C today, as the rain and wind continues to bring miserable conditions to the capital.
And on higher ground, sleet is expected.
A Met Eireann forecaster says: "It will be a blustery day in Dublin, with showers of rain or hail with even some sleet on higher ground.
"Throughout the day there's a risk of isolated thunderstorms also. Highest temperatures today will hit a maximum of 5C to 7C."
Tonight, things will remain the same though temperatures will drop slightly. And when we wake up tomorrow morning, there will be some ground frost.
They continued: "Tonight will continue blustery with further showers. Lowest temperatures of 1C to 4C with fresh northwest winds. A touch of ground frost will develop in some sheltered areas.
