Shocking picture shows battered car after two vehicle collision on Dublin road

Luckily the driver of the car escaped major injury.

A picture posted by Gardai shows a vehicle left in a frightening state after a two car collision on a Dublin road.

The incident happened on the R108 in Roganstown on Saturday - writes dublinlive.ie.

Gardai were called to the scene where the blue car was found in bits and on its side.

Luckily all people involved escaped with only minor injuries despite what was a very bad crash.

Gardai said: "This driver had a lucky escape after a collision with another vehicle on the R108 Roganstown yesterday. Thankfully all involved only received minor injuries."

The incident comes as Gardai urge drivers to slow down and take care on the roads in the build up to Christmas.

Major checkpoints across all of Dublin have been conducted in recent days as part of the intiative.
