Dublin tourists 'packed' into Centra and Spar on Christmas Day with nothing open

Any tourists in Dublin have been left with very little options.

Tourists in Dublin have been gathering in Centra and Spar on Dame Street with little else open in the city.

That is according to well known travel blogger, Taraaustralis, who is documenting her time in the city- writes dublinlive.ie.

Very few places are open on Christmas Day in the capital leaving tourists searching around the city trying to find somewhere to eat.

The blogger says that Centra is a hive of activity as it is on of the places actually open for business today.

She tweeted: "OMG. I found tourist relief in Dublin. Both Spar and Centra are PACKED like noisy night clubs full of tourists looking for lunch and coffee."

The TV producer also commented and how eerily quite the streets of Dublin are on the country's favourite holiday.

She added: "The best day to shoot zombie apocalypse movie I Ireland is on Christmas Day because there is absolutely nobody outside. Streets are totally empty."
