Five people injured in horror Dolphin's Barn crash

Dublin Fire Brigade reminded drivers that road work restrictions are "there for good reason".

Five people were left injured following a crash in Dolphin's Barn last night.

According to the Dublin Fire Brigade Twitter feed, the car ploughed into the railings blocking of a road work area - writes dublinlive.ie.

Luckily the five passengers in the vehicle did not receive life threatening injuries.

Units from Dolphin's Barn and Tallaght were in attendance including an ambulance.

In a tweet, Dublin Fire Brigade posted: "We all dislike road works and complain about the restrictions surrounding them. But they are there for good reason. 5 people received minor injuries last night at this road traffic collision."

A Garda spokesman told Dublin Live they have not launched an investigation into the incident.
