A number of traffic lights have also been impacted.
Almost 2,000 north Dublin homes without power due to fault
Almost 2,000 homes are affected by a power outage in north Dublin.
The outage is at Grange near Father Collins Park in Clongriffin and has a direct impact on 1,980 homes.
It happened at around 10.48am and power is not expected to be restored until at least 2.30pm.
ESB said: "We apologise for the loss of supply. We are currently working to repair a fault affecting your premises and will restore power as quickly as possible."
Traffic lights around the area are also out of action as a result of the power outage.
AA Roadwatch says: "Traffic lights are out of action in the Clarehall, Belmayne and Clongriffin areas due to a power failure. Caution is needed on approach to all junctions."
