Man, 20s, arrested after being found drunk and naked near north Dublin shopping centre
A man in his 20s has been arrested after being found drunk and naked near a Dublin shopping centre over the weekend.
The incident happened on Saturday afternoon, when Gardai were called to the Laurel Lodge part of Castleknock after the man was spotted roaming the streets with no clothes on.
Video footage seen by Dublin Live shows the man nakedly wandering near the Laurel Lodge shopping centre, as he carries a pair of trousers under his arm.
At one point, the man stops on the side of the street and throws his trousers on the ground while appearing to urinate on a patch of grass at the roadside.
The man was later arrested and charged with being drunk and disorderly.
In a statement, a Garda spokeswoman said: "Gardai in Blanchardstown were called to an incident in the Laurel Lodge part of Dublin 15 on Saturday the 5 of May 2018 at approx. 2.28pm.
"A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene under Section 4 Public Order Act and is being detained in Blanchardstown Garda Station."
